He had said he asked for forgiveness in a message to his wife: Tragic news about the 28-year-old man

The incident occurred in a mountainous area in the village of Akin, located in the city center. According to the information obtained, 28-year-old Selahattin Ç., who was reportedly in distress, went missing after sending a message to his wife asking for forgiveness.

Upon receiving the message, his wife reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch identified potential locations the individual might have gone to and launched a search operation. Despite a one-day search, the individual could not be found; however, a security guard at an animal shelter who spotted an abandoned motorcycle in the mountainous area at night grew suspicious and called the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene shortly after and discovered a person lying on the ground 50 meters from the motorcycle. Medical teams called to the scene confirmed that the individual was dead, while gendarmerie teams determined during their investigation that the person had been shot in the head with a handgun.

As the location fell within the police's jurisdiction, the investigation was handed over to law enforcement. Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch Murder Bureau and the Crime Scene Investigation Branch discovered a handgun and numerous empty shell casings near the individual's head.

The individual shot in the head was identified as Selahattin Çelik, who had been reported missing. Following an examination of the scene by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor, the body was transported to the morgue of the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. Police are focusing on the possibility of suicide, and the investigation is ongoing.
