Iranian student designs dress using 5,000 tea leaves

Yeganeh Choulaki, who came from Iran to study at the Department of International Relations at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University (RTEÜ), was captivated by the natural beauty of Rize.

She expressed this admiration through a costume she designed. She created a dress featuring patterns of Rize's suspension bridges on the front and a train made of tea leaves on the back. The train, which she designed using 5,000 tea leaves, was admired by everyone.

Stating that she completed the dress in 4 days, Yeganeh Choulaki also mentioned that she had applied to the Guinness World Records, saying, "I made this dress in 4 days. I embroidered all of it with my own hands.

The embroidery on the front... Because I love Rize so much and because the most famous thing here is tea, I designed and created this dress inspired by these tea leaves.

I also applied for the Guinness World Records for this dress. They confirmed and approved it. We have passed the first stage and moved on to the second stage. We are waiting for news from them. This dress contains Rize, and it turned out very beautiful," she said.

Adding that everyone approached the dress with appreciation, Choulaki said, "Everyone liked it very much, they loved it. Especially the embroidery worked here is a representation of one of Rize's wooden bridges. Everyone liked it a lot, they supported it and loved it very much. This type of embroidery is actually valued more in the country I am from, but tea is something special to Rize."
