Teacher investigated for taking students to her home to clean during school hours

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on November 4, 2025, at a vocational training center in Bornova. According to the allegations, a Turkish Language and Literature teacher named D.T. took 6 female students, aged 16, named Ş.A., E.K., D.D., A.Y., E.N.K., and N.K., out of the school during class hours without the knowledge of the school administration or their parents. It was claimed that 

the students were taken to the teacher's new home by being put into a private vehicle from a point outside the view of the security cameras. According to the claims reflected in the parents' complaint petitions, the students, who went to school to receive education, were made to work all day at the teacher's home, performing tasks such as carrying boxes, packing belongings, and cleaning. The investigation is ongoing. 

It was argued that the students were deprived of their right to education and that this action was carriedoutwithout the consent of their parents. 

Among the allegations was that nofood or transportation was provided to the students at the end of the day. It was stated that after finishing the work, the students walked from the Bayraklı TOKİarea towards the City Hospital, and were then able to return home using public transportationat their ownexpense.Photographs included in the investigation file

Inthe application made by the parents to the İzmir Provincial Directorate of National Education,

some photographsallegedlytakenat the teacher's homewere submitted as evidence. It was noted that the images entered into the file showedcigarette and alcohol bottles in the environment where the students were present, and it was stated that this situationposed a risk to thechildren's safety.
