Worker shuttle bus overturns in Denizli! Multiple dead and injured

According to the information received, the minibus driven by Hasan Çekiç, which was carrying workers from a glass factory, struck a trash bin and a concrete lighting pole on the side of the road in the Irlıganlı neighborhood before overturning.

4 DEAD, 19 INJURED

Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.

According to initial findings, 4 people died and 19 were injured in the accident.

The injured were transported to hospitals by ambulance.

STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR

Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun and Metropolitan Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu received information from officials at the scene of the accident.

Governor Coşkun told reporters that the single-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 08:25 in the morning.

Noting that necessary statements regarding the cause of the accident will be made after the investigations are completed, Coşkun stated the following:

"According to initial findings, we have unfortunately lost 4 of our citizens, and we have determined that there are 19 injured. All of them have been transferred to hospitals. Their treatments are ongoing. We have received information that 4 of our injured citizens are in critical condition. Our teams are currently working in the field regarding the cause of this accident. The cause of the accident will be revealed as a result of these efforts."

The driver, Çekiç, was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
