37-centimeter wire removed from heel! There are other wires in 5 pieces in her body
A 37-centimeter-long wire was removed from above the right heel of 58-year-old Nazika Kandemir, who lives in the Menteşe district of Muğla. Kandemir has filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office against three hospitals, two of which are private, to determine whether there was any negligence in her previous surgeries and to find out where the wire came from.
Nazika Kandemir, who lives in the Meke neighborhood of Muğla's Menteşe district, felt pain in her heel while sitting at home. A wire emerged from the area where the pain was coming from.
Unable to make sense of how such a wire could come out on its own or even be in her leg, Kandemir and her family applied to the Muğla Training and Research Hospital. At the hospital, a 37-centimeter-long wire was removed from Kandemir's foot. Subsequent X-rays revealed that there were other wires in 5 pieces in her foot.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST THOSE RESPONSIBLE
When the family, who spoke with hospital administrations, including two private ones, to find out where the wire came from, could not get an answer, they filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. Nazika Kandemir said, “Before this incident, I was feeling itching and sometimes pain in my foot. Suddenly, this wire came out. We went to the hospital, and I was told that there were other wires in 5 pieces in my foot. I don't want to blame anyone. However, I want to learn where this wire came from and for it to come to light if there was any negligence,” and filed a criminal complaint against those responsible for the incident through her lawyer.
