Actor Oktay Çubuk discharged from hospital, returns to Turkey

Oktay Çubuk, one of Turkey's beloved young actors, faced a life-threatening situation during a visit to Portugal with his mother in April. The 30-year-old actor, whose heart stopped following a sudden illness in Lisbon, was resuscitated through rapid medical intervention and kept in intensive care for two months.

After being discharged following a nearly two-month hospital stay, Oktay Çubuk broke his silence after returning to Turkey, making his first detailed post on social media. The famous actor shared his feelings and the details of this difficult period with his followers.

Explaining the reason for his absence from social media for a while, Çubuk described his experience with the following words:

"I haven't been on social media for a while. But I feel I need to say a few things about what I went through. As you know, exactly two months ago, my heart stopped in Lisbon. According to the doctors, I lost my life for a short time and then came back. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank my family, my friends, my elders, and everyone who supported me with their kind messages during this process."

Stating that he is continuing his recovery at home following his treatment, the young actor expressed that he has rediscovered the value of life and wants to continue his life more consciously from now on with these words:

"I don't know why this happened to me. I don't know how my life will take shape from here on out. But there is one thing I know for sure: I am very lucky. Because I am still here. I want to live the time I have been given more authentically and worthily. I am currently in a process of healing and returning."
