The Ministry of Health has issued a statement regarding the hantavirus claims that have recently come to the fore.
Following claims circulating in the public regarding hantavirus cases, the Ministry of Health has provided a notable update on the matter. In its written statement, the Ministry indicated that no hantavirus infections have been encountered in Turkey to date.
The statement read: “The process regarding the hantavirus cases reflected in the public domain is being meticulously monitored by our Ministry in accordance with scientific principles. No positive cases have been detected in our country yet. It is important for our citizens to take into account only the statements made by official authorities and to be cautious against unverified information circulating in the public. Our Ministry continues its screening, prevention, control, and monitoring efforts against all kinds of infectious diseases that may threaten public health, without interruption, through all relevant units.”
