New claim regarding Ece İrtem's death: Monkey bite detail
Following the death of actress Ece İrtem, who passed away at a young age, an application has been filed with the prosecutor's office regarding suspicions that she was bitten by a monkey during a trip to Thailand. Authorities are investigating whether this incident contributed to her death.
A striking claim has emerged regarding the death of Ece İrtem, who recently passed away after falling ill at her home in Istanbul, leaving behind many unanswered questions. Following the death of the 35-year-old actress, her family and lawyer have requested that a new detail be evaluated during the autopsy process.
It has been learned that Ece İrtem, who was previously reported to have suffered a 'heart attack,' was bitten by a monkey in Thailand, where she had gone for a vacation about a week before her death. Her family applied to the prosecutor's office, stating that there were three distinct bite marks on İrtem's left arm.

In a statement made by her lawyer, Uğur Gökkoyun, it was noted: "Upon the discovery of 3 scars on the left arm of my client, Ece İrtem, who passed away at her home on 15.6.2026, we spoke with family members who stated that she had been bitten by a monkey during her trip to Thailand. In consultations with experts on this matter, it was learned that a monkey bite can have fatal consequences, including sepsis (blood poisoning). A petition was submitted to the prosecutor's office today requesting that this issue also be evaluated during the autopsy."
The exact cause of death for the successful actress, known for the series in which she played the lead role, will be revealed as a result of the forensic examination.
