The EHEC (Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli) bacteria that emerged in Germany has caused the deaths of two people. According to a report by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), a young boy and a woman lost their lives due to kidney failure.
Authorities stated that children under the age of 10 are more affected by this outbreak. As of October 22, 183 cases have been confirmed, while it was announced that 168 suspected cases have not yet been finalized.
The report also noted that a 90-year-old person died in connection with the outbreak, but this death has not yet been definitively confirmed. Authorities are calling on the public to be cautious to prevent the spread of the outbreak.
