New practice from the Ministry of Health: Report renewal process has begun

The Ministry of Health is implementing a new practice to renew "disability" and "medication reports" that are set to expire on June 30, 2025. Accordingly, a 9-month "Report Renewal" schedule has been established for medication reports of citizens with chronic illnesses whose validity had previously been extended until 30.06.2025, and a 12-month schedule for the reports of disabled citizens. The "Report Renewal" process, initiated to ensure the continuity of reports for citizens, will be conducted through the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS).

PRIORITY GIVEN TO PATIENTS WHOSE REPORT EXPIRATION IS IMMINENT

According to the regulation, patients whose report expiration is imminent will first be identified through the e-Report System. The Turkish ID numbers of these individuals will be shared with the Central Physician Appointment System.

To provide convenience to patients, a special clinic has been defined that can only be accessed by patients whose reports expire on June 30. Only citizens with the specified Turkish ID numbers will be able to make appointments at the "Report Renewal" clinic.

THOSE WITH EXPIRED REPORTS WILL BE INFORMED VIA SMS

Furthermore, holders of expired reports will be informed via text message. The message will include the following statement:

“Dear citizen, it is necessary to create an appointment for the ‘Report Renewal’ clinic via MHRS for reports that will expire as of June 30, 2025. If an appointment is not made, the report period will not be extended."

APPOINTMENT PLANNING UP TO 120 DAYS IN ADVANCE WILL BE POSSIBLE

All hospitals will create special appointment schedules in the MHRS for the “Report Renewal” clinic. Through these schedules, appointment planning up to 120 days in advance will be possible.

MHRS Coordination Unit: On the day of their appointment, citizens will apply to the “MHRS Coordination Unit” at the hospitals. This unit will provide guidance based on the nature of the application. If the application is for a disability report, registration and guidance will be provided to the Health Board, and if it is for a medication report, to the relevant branch clinic.

NON-RENEWED REPORTS WILL BE INVALID

During the period until the reports are reissued, transactions can be performed with the existing reports. However, reports that are not renewed by the end of the report renewal period will lose their validity.
