New study from the Ministry of Health: 'Celebrities will not be able to appear in product promotions'

According to the draft study reported in Türkiye Gazetesi, promotions and product distributions currently available to physicians, dentists, and pharmacists will also be permitted for dietitians, provided they are limited to foods for special medical purposes.

Visits to these professional groups can now also be conducted electronically. Product promotion representatives will not be able to promote any products or similar items to healthcare professionals outside of these groups, nor will they be able to provide promotional materials or items.

BAN ON CELEBRITIES IN PROMOTIONS

Product promotions will not contain misleading, exaggerated, or unproven information that would encourage unnecessary use of the product or lead to unexpected risky situations.

Expressions and images that are attention-grabbing and not directly related to the product itself will not be used.

Celebrities will not be allowed to be used in promotions, and healthcare professionals will not be able to take part in promotions without obtaining permission.
