Three major supermarkets recall several products
Major supermarket chains in the UK have issued urgent recall notices due to health risks identified in certain food products. Mislabeling and allergen warnings serve as an important alert for consumers.
Leading UK supermarkets Aldi, Asda, and Tesco have decided to pull some of their products from shelves due to safety issues that have emerged in recent days. Authorities have stated that these products should not be consumed.
During food safety inspections, issues such as undeclared allergens on labels and incorrect expiration dates were identified. The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has also confirmed these warnings.
ALLERGEN WARNING AND MISLABELING
The FSA stated that individuals with allergies, in particular, should avoid these products. Consumers have been advised to check their food stocks at home.
It has been announced that the recalled products can be returned without a receipt and that a full refund will be provided.
DETAILS OF THE RECALLED PRODUCTS
Aldi – Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks
Aldi announced that this product contains peanuts not mentioned on the label, posing a serious risk to those with peanut allergies. The product has been recalled from stores.
Asda – 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Sauce
Asda stated that the packaging for this product contains an incorrect expiration date. The actual use-by date of the product was announced as November 29, 2025.
Tesco – Celery, Fruit and Nut Salad
Tesco announced that the product contains mustard not mentioned on the label, which poses a danger to those with allergies.
ADVICE TO CONSUMERS
The Food Standards Agency emphasized that those who have purchased these products should absolutely not consume them. No receipt is required for returns, and a full refund is provided.
Although no official statement has been made regarding these products in Turkey, experts note that one should be careful when shopping for food. Consumers are advised to carefully check product label information, allergen warnings, and expiration dates. Furthermore, if unexpected changes in taste, smell, or appearance are noticed, it is important that the product is not consumed and is reported to the authorities.
