Turkish brined vine leaves recalled due to pesticides
Products have been pulled from the market in Germany after high levels of pesticides were detected in a Turkish brined vine leaf product. Consumers have been urged to exercise caution.
Food safety authorities in Germany have determined that the product 'Suntat Tokat Erbağ Yaprağı – Weinblätter', imported by BLG Kardeşler GmbH, contains pesticide levels exceeding legal limits. Following this finding, the 400-gram packages of brined vine leaves were immediately recalled from the market.
DETAILS OF THE RECALLED PRODUCT
The recalled product belongs to the Suntat brand and is known as Tokat Erbağ brined vine leaves. The product was sold with the batch number LS0201/25 and an expiration date of 01.2027. BLG Kardeşler GmbH announced that the products have been removed from sale but did not provide detailed information regarding the return process. Consumers are advised to return the products to the stores where they were purchased and to avoid consuming them.
