Two people alleged to have removed posters for July 15 events on Hamamyolu Street were detained. The individuals were released under judicial control conditions.
Two people have been detained as part of an investigation launched after invitation posters for the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events, hung on Hamamyolu Street in Eskişehir, were cut down. U.S. and E.E., who were alleged to have removed the posters prepared regarding the FETÖ coup attempt and used in events organized by the Governor's Office, were apprehended by police teams.
The suspects were referred to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after their statements were taken. The two individuals, who were accused of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting," were brought before the duty magistrate judge.
The court decided to impose a travel ban on U.S. and E.E. and required them to report to law enforcement every 15 days to sign in. Thus, the suspects were released under judicial control.
