CHP leader Özgür Özel to pay compensation to Justice Minister Gürlek
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has been ordered to pay 150 thousand liras in non-pecuniary damages in a lawsuit filed by Justice Minister Akın Gürlek, who alleged that his personal rights had been violated.
In the case heard at the Istanbul 20th Civil Court of First Instance, non-pecuniary damages were demanded from Özgür Özel due to statements he made regarding the personal rights of Justice Minister Akın Gürlek. As a result of the trial, the court ruled that Özel must pay 150 thousand liras in non-pecuniary damages.
The appeal filed by Özgür Özel at the 4th Civil Chamber of the Regional Court of Justice was not accepted. According to the information received, the enforcement process regarding the decision has been initiated.
