Critical development in the death of famous artist Güllü

The tragic event in which the famous artist known as Güllü lost her life on September 26, 2025, was initially treated as an accident. However, as the investigation deepened, evidence, witness statements, and obtained camera footage gave the file a new dimension. Many details have come to light throughout the investigation process of this painful event, which is being closely followed by music lovers.

Güllü’s daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was at home on the night of the incident, was arrested following a long period of surveillance in the case being conducted on charges of "intentional killing." Although it was initially thought to be an accident, different allegations emerged in light of forensic and criminal examinations, which influenced the process.

It is expected that the indictment for the investigation, which is under the scrutiny of Turkey, will be completed by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office within a few weeks. A change in the chief prosecutor leading the investigation has led to activity in the file, and all eyes have turned to the assessments that will be included in the indictment.

WAS THERE TENSION BETWEEN THEM?

On the night of Güllü’s death, it was determined that her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu were also in the house. It was stated that music was being listened to for entertainment purposes that night and that Güllü had gone out to the terrace to dance to Roman-style music. Although the tragedy that occurred suddenly was initially reported as an "unfortunate accident," the investigation deepened with the examination of camera recordings and the emergence of allegations.

In the recordings obtained from the security cameras in the house, it was seen that Güllü headed from the room to the terrace, followed by a panicked exit from the house along with the sound of a sudden fall. The details identified in the images and audio recordings led to different interpretations.

Güllü’s son, Tuğberk Yağız Gülter, stated that his mother could experience balance problems and occasionally consumed alcohol, while family members initially gave similar statements that the incident was an accident. Additionally, information that the artist had experienced another fall incident shortly before the event and had received treatment was added to the file.

In the forensic reports, multiple fractures and internal organ injuries due to a fall from a height confirmed that Güllü had lost her life. The reports clarified that the cause of death occurred due to traumatic reasons. The fact that no DNA other than Güllü’s was found in the biological samples taken during the investigation was cited as one of the elements supporting the accident claim.

However, in the prepared expert report, it was assessed that the accident occurring on its own was a weak possibility, and findings were reached that the fall might have occurred due to physical contact. This development led to murder allegations being brought back to the agenda in the file.

Another detail that caused controversy was that 3.53 promille of alcohol was detected in Güllü’s blood in the toxicology report. On the other hand, it was announced that no narcotic substances were found in the artist’s body, but low-dose prescription drug residues were detected.

WITNESS STATEMENTS AND SHOCKING ALLEGATIONS

While the incident was being investigated with the possibility of an "accident," new allegations made by the artist’s former boss, Ferdi Aydın, caused significant changes in the investigation. Some witnesses stated that they had reported past tensions and threatening messages between the mother and daughter. Upon these allegations, the investigation took a different path, and the witnesses' statements were included in the file.

It was noted that in her statement, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter argued that there was occasional tension between her and her mother, but that what happened on the night of the incident was an accident. Messages such as "Will you find a killer to kill my mother" and "That's enough, I will kill myself, I will kill my mother," which were reported by experts, were declared to belong to a period of temporary domestic disagreement.

The most striking allegation within the scope of the investigation came from a witness named Bircan D. The witness’s claim that Tuğyan spoke to her saying, "I did it, but I am very sorry, sister," fundamentally changed the course of the investigation in the file.

PREPARATIONS TO FLEE ABROAD AND ARRESTS

Tuğyan Gülter and the two people with her, including Sultan Nur Ulu, who were under technical surveillance by the teams managing the investigation, were detained in December 2025 while preparing to go abroad. In her statement, Sultan Nur Ulu alleged that on the night of the incident, Tuğyan "lifted her mother up slightly and then pushed her."

Following this statement, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested and sent to prison. While Sultan Nur Ulu was placed under house arrest, the former fiancé mentioned in the file, Kervan Eminoğlu, was released under judicial control after a short period of detention.

The indictment of the investigation, which has reached its final stage, is awaited with great interest across Turkey, especially in the art world. With the new chief prosecutor taking office, it is anticipated that the indictment will be completed shortly and the judicial process will begin.
