Fake MIT agent arrested in Denizli
A person who committed fraud by posing as a member of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in Denizli has been captured in an operation conducted by gendarmerie teams.
In Denizli, Adnan K. (43), who committed fraud by posing as an officer affiliated with the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), was arrested following meticulous work by gendarmerie teams. The Merkezefendi District Gendarmerie Command and the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Team (JASAT) apprehended the suspect in an operation carried out under the coordination of the Denizli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
It was determined that Adnan K. worked as a laborer at a factory in the Merkezefendi district. A search of the suspect's home revealed a military uniform, a handheld radio, a mobile phone, and a keychain with a gendarmerie emblem. These items were among the materials believed to have been used by the fraudster to create a credible impression.
Adnan K., who was referred to the court, was arrested during his hearing and sent to prison. The incident caused a significant stir in Denizli, and the successful operation by the gendarmerie teams received praise.
