Investigation into celebrities in Istanbul expands
The drug investigation targeting famous figures in Istanbul has been expanded to include prostitution allegations. Detention warrants were issued for 12 people this morning.
As part of the drug investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 12 people early this morning. Many famous figures were detained in an operation conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
It was reported that detention warrants were issued for Cihan Şensözlü, who is among those detained, and Mert Vidinli, who was determined to be abroad, due to allegations of prostitution in addition to drug-related charges. An additional arrest warrant was issued for Vidinli as he is currently abroad.
It is stated that the investigation has been expanded in order to uncover the criminal network allegedly involving famous figures.
