Iraqi ISIS suspect on Interpol's list captured in Eskişehir
Iraqi citizen Suhail Mohammed Salemm Mahmood Sheekho, who was wanted with a red notice, was arrested after being taken into custody in Eskişehir.
Suhail Mohammed Salemm Mahmood Sheekho, who was captured during an operation conducted in Eskişehir, was determined to be among the individuals wanted by Interpol with a red notice. Sheekho, who had an entry ban to Turkey and a G-87 code, was taken into custody as a result of the efforts of gendarmerie teams.
The investigation revealed that the Interpol General Secretariat had issued a red notice for Sheekho at the request of Iraqi judicial authorities. The Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, evaluated the accusations in Sheekho's file along with the red notice information after taking his statement.
Iraqi national Suhail Mohammed Salemm Mahmood Sheekho was sent to the Irregular Migrant Pre-Acceptance and Referral Center (GÖKSEM) on May 13 for deportation procedures. However, as a result of the evaluation made within the scope of the charge of 'Membership in an Armed Terrorist Organization,' his arrest was requested.
Sheekho, who was referred to the Eskişehir Duty 2nd Criminal Court of Peace on May 15, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
