Shocking development in İzmir family murder: Killer turns out to be a family member

In the incident that took place in Torbalı, İzmir, on October 24, Hatice and Şadi Avcı and their son Mehmet Avcı were found dead in their home, having been shot with a handgun. A PLANNED MURDER

It was determined that Mert Avcı had called his relatives on the day of the incident, claiming he could not reach his family, and acted surprised when the house was entered with a locksmith. Furthermore, it was discovered that he had searched for handgun decibel levels on his mobile phone. This situation indicated that the murders were committed in a planned manner.

ARREST AND CONFESSIONS

Police detained Mert Avcı and two other individuals thought to be connected to the incident. Mert Avcı was arrested by the court. Avcı, who is alleged to have committed the murders due to financial difficulties, denied the accusations in his statement and claimed he was innocent.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the Avcı family possessed significant assets. It was learned that his mother had previously sold an apartment to pay off debts, and that they also owned other apartments and land.
