The Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor has requested the upholding of the verdicts for 215 defendants in the Adnan Oktar organized crime group case, including 14 defendants who were each sentenced to 8,658 years in prison.
The Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor has completed its review of the decision made on November 16, 2022, by the Istanbul 30th High Criminal Court, which had been found to be in accordance with the law by the Istanbul Regional Court of Justice 1st Criminal Chamber.
The Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor has sent its notification regarding the file to the 1st Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court.
In the notification, it was requested that the 8,658-year prison sentences for 14 defendants, including Oktar, as well as the verdicts for the other defendants, be upheld.
The Chamber will deliver its final decision on the case after completing its appellate review of the file.
