A Şebnem Ferah night in İzmir after years: Famous names flocked to the event

Last performing in İzmir 6 years ago on March 7, Şebnem Ferah met with her fans at İzmir Arena last night as the second stop of her concert series, following her return to the stage in Istanbul on June 3 after a long silence. İzmir music lovers, who flocked to the venue long before the concert time, formed long queues at the gates. When the artist, who was awaited with great enthusiasm, took the stage, a storm of applause erupted in the area.

The concert, which began with visuals featuring the 'phoenix' metaphor symbolizing the artist's past on the giant LED screens on stage, opened with the songs "Çakıl Taşları" and "Başka Bir Yol Var". Ferah, who did not compromise on her performance throughout the night, sang her hit songs that are on everyone's lips, such as "Kalbim Mezar", "Koridor", "Birileri Var", "Can Kırıkları", "Bugün", "Yağmurlar", "Sil Baştan", "Yalnız", "Sigara", "Fırtına", and "Bu Aşk Fazla Sana", together with the giant choir filling the venue. The closing of the concert was a visual feast; artificial snow was showered onto the stage while the artist sang the song "Hoşçakal".

Experiencing emotional moments on stage and addressing her audience, Şebnem Ferah said, "Both I and my teammates, we all missed you very much together." Ferah was accompanied on stage by her core team, with whom she has worked for years: Ozan Tügen on keyboards, Buket Doran on bass guitar, Aykan İlkan on drums, Serdar Barçın on wind instruments, Ceren Tügen Akdeniz on backing vocals, and Barış Manisa on guitar.

CELEBRITIES FLOCKED TO THE EVENT

On a night that saw record attendance at İzmir Arena, well-known names from the art community also came to listen to Şebnem Ferah. In addition to Doğa Rutkay and her husband Kerimcan Kamal, who stated that this was the first concert they had attended in 20 years, Melike Şahin, who wore a Şebnem Ferah bandana, Ceylan Ertem, and Salih Bademci were among the notable names at the concert.

It was learned that due to intense interest and demand, Şebnem Ferah will take the stage in İzmir again on June 21.
