A wedding that makes you say 'Did this really happen?': Groom turns his suit into a billboard

The most talked-about detail at the wedding of Ramazan Bekrek and Pınar Abas, who sat at the wedding table in Denizli, was the groom's suit covered in advertisements. Seeking a different solution due to rising wedding costs, Bekrek adapted an application he saw abroad to his own wedding. Meeting with local businesses, the groom made sponsorship agreements with approximately 20 companies and placed the company names on different parts of his suit.

As the couple entered the wedding hall to applause, guests could not initially understand what the writing on the suit was. Upon closer inspection, it was seen that the names of companies from different sectors were located on the front, back, and sleeve sections of the jacket. Guests, surprised by the interesting sight, raced to record those moments with their mobile phones. Ramazan Bekrek, who turned almost his entire suit into an advertising space, covered a significant portion of his wedding budget with sponsor support thanks to this method. The groom's idea, which brought an example from abroad to life in Denizli, became one of the most striking details of the wedding.

"THERE ARE THOSE WHO LAUGH, THOSE WHO FIND IT INTERESTING"

Speaking about his unusual idea, groom Ramazan Bekrek said, "This idea was first done abroad; there is a trial of it. As far as I know, it has never been done in Turkey. I thought it could be done in Turkey as well. Having about 20 company sponsors covered about a quarter of our wedding expenses. I also think it is very eye-catching. It is also a nice idea, which is why I did it. My wife first said, 'Don't do this without 10 companies. If there are 10 companies, you can do it. I support you too.' So there are those who laugh, those who find it strange, those who find it interesting; there are different reactions. Of course, my family supported me; they were all behind me. Especially my wife, first and foremost. If it weren't for her, we couldn't have done this project. Naturally, it provided a contribution to the budget at least."

"I WILL FEEL STRANGE AND HAPPY"

Stating that she found the idea different when she first heard it, bride Pınar Abas said, "Then I said, 'Why not?' and gave my support. My friends were surprised and said, 'It won't work,' but I said, 'Why not?' and chose to stand by my husband. I'm glad I did. I think it's something beautiful, different, and original. I mean, I will feel strange and happy. I think that because my husband is a pioneer in this, I will say, 'Your father was a pioneer of this and I'm glad he did something like this.' I mean, in the end, there are certain norms, but our families supported us afterwards. Because it really relieved us by covering certain things financially."

"I HAD NEVER RECEIVED SUCH AN OFFER BEFORE, I'M GLAD I DID"

Burak Özenir, one of the friends who sponsored the groom, said, "I sponsored the groom. I had never received such an offer before; I'm glad I did. I accepted it immediately and gladly. It is a verbal agreement, so we don't have a written contract. It is based on mutual trust. Let me say it here: when they have children, the clothes they will wear throughout their lives will be provided free of charge from our brand."

One of the sponsors, İsmail Anatürk, also stated, "We made a verbal agreement in exchange for cash. He will carry the names of our companies on his jacket throughout the night. I think it will be quite enjoyable. I have never made such a sponsorship agreement before. I accepted it immediately."
