Comedian Tuba Ulu, who was detained and subsequently released under judicial control for allegedly insulting Suleiman the Magnificent, has had her X and YouTube accounts blocked in Turkey.
Comedian Tuba Ulu had been detained and released under judicial control due to remarks she made about Suleiman the Magnificent during a performance.
Following this process, Ulu issued a written statement on her Instagram account, saying, “I have always trusted the humor of this country. I actually trusted the intelligence of both those who create humor and those who receive and accept it. For this reason, I may have been too spoiled and made a joke that exceeded its purpose. I apologize with all my heart to everyone I may have offended, hurt, or upset, even if unintentionally.”
According to the latest information, Ulu's X account and YouTube channel have been blocked in Turkey on the grounds of protecting national security and public order, rendering them inaccessible.
