Businessman Murat Ustalı loses his life in a traffic accident in Ayvalık

Murat Ustalı, one of the well-known businesspeople of Balıkesir and a former executive of Balıkesirspor, lost his life in a traffic accident in Ayvalık during the night. The off-road vehicle with license plate 10 US 128, driven by Murat Ustalı—who was the brother of MHP Ayvalık District Chairman Hasan Ustalı—lost control on 15 Eylül Street in the Cunda Mithatpaşa neighborhood, crashing first into the wall of a house and then into the wall of another building before overturning.

Following the accident, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Murat Ustalı, who was trapped in the vehicle, was extracted by fire crews but was determined to have passed away at the scene. His wife, Naz Ustalı, who was in the vehicle, was seriously injured and was first transported to Ayvalık State Hospital and subsequently transferred to Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital. It was reported that Naz Ustalı's medical condition remains critical.

The investigation launched following the accident is ongoing. The passing of Murat Ustalı has caused great sorrow, particularly among his family, close circle, and the Balıkesir business community.

The Balıkesirspor Club also published a condolence message for their former executive. The message stated, “We have learned with deep sorrow the news that our former executive Murat Ustalı passed away following a traffic accident in Ayvalık. We wish God's mercy upon the late Ustalı; we extend our condolences to his relatives, loved ones, and those who held him dear.”
