Decision revealed for Miss Turkey winner İdil Bilgen, who was appointed to Bingöl as a doctor

İdil Bilgen was crowned the winner of the Miss Turkey 2024 pageant, where Turkey's registered beauties compete for the title. Chosen as the most beautiful girl in Turkey, Bilgen will represent our country at Miss World.

A graduate of Koç University Faculty of Medicine, İdil Bilgen was appointed to Bingöl in the 118th Term State Service Obligation (DHY) draw by the Ministry of Health.

After being crowned beauty queen, Bilgen's decision on whether she would go to her place of duty had become a subject of curiosity.

According to the report by 2. Sayfa, it has been learned that İdil Bilgen will go to Kyiv to join her father, Mustafa Levent Bilgen, who is Turkey's Ambassador to Kyiv, and will subsequently begin her job at the Bingöl Yayladere Community Health Center.

'LIKE ŞABANİYE'

On the other hand, she was subjected to many negative comments on social media after being chosen as Miss Turkey. While some celebrities supported Bilgen, others criticized her.

Bülent Ersoy, one of those figures, had stated, "Is this beautiful now! She has masculine features, like Şabaniye! Let's not break or upset the young girl."

Stating that she does not care about the criticisms, İdil Bilgen used the following expressions in her statement to Özlem Gürses:

"Frankly, I held the title of physician before being chosen as Miss Turkey. I participated here as a physician, and this is definitely my primary title. I will carry this with pride throughout my life and my profession. I think the title of Miss Turkey is also very meaningful and very important. I am very proud to carry it. I don't think combining the two is a problem; on the contrary, I think it is a very beautiful whole."

Saying, "I think there is a very wrong perception in our country," Bilgen had stated, "This beauty pageant does not just cover our physical appearance. In fact, the Miss World pageant selects very well-equipped, educated, beautiful women, and they compete. Therefore, it is because women who exist with their inner beauty, the beauty of their minds, their stance, elegance, language skills, and the way they carry themselves are seen as beautiful. Because I think beauty is a whole. After all, it is not just physical beauty."
