Driver's license confiscated, he ended his life by jumping off a bridge

Steadicam operator Ömer Belli, known in the TV series and film industry, tragically ended his life on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The incident occurred after Belli's driver's license was confiscated for driving under the influence.

After his license was confiscated following the incident, Ömer Belli took a taxi and headed toward the bridge. Telling the taxi driver to stop on the bridge so he could take photos, Belli pulled the handbrake and got out of the vehicle despite the driver's objections, then threw himself off the bridge.

Search efforts are continuing for Belli, who was in his 30s, married, and a father of one daughter. The Steadicam Operators Association stated that condolence messages shared on social media were causing the spread of misinformation and emphasized that such posts should be avoided. The association requested that people show respect for his family, noting that Belli's death has not yet been officially confirmed.

Nacim Güç, director of the series "Kıskanmak," expressed his deep sorrow after receiving the news of Belli's death. Güç shared a message saying, "Ömer was one of the rare people who lived for the excitement of storytelling. I am very sad that we lost him."

It is known that Ömer Belli most recently worked on the series "10 Bin Adım," starring Devin Özgür Çınar and Binnur Kaya, and was satisfied with his work. However, this tragic event has caused deep sorrow in the industry and among his close circle.
