Ferdi Tayfur undergoes surgery

Artist Ferdi Tayfur was transferred by air ambulance to a hospital in Antalya following his treatment in Muğla, upon the decision of his doctors and family. It was learned that Tayfur's surgery there was successful.

His press consultant and niece, Şirin Gözalıcı, shared the following statement on her social media account:

"Ferdi Tayfur's surgery was performed successfully. His health condition is currently good, and he will continue to be kept under observation. We will inform you as developments occur."

HE HAD FALLEN ILL

Ferdi Tayfur had fallen ill a few days ago at his home in the Marmaris district of Muğla, where he resides, and was first transferred by ambulance to a private hospital in the district, and then to another private healthcare institution in Muğla.

It was reported that the 79-year-old famous artist, who is currently being treated in the intensive care unit of the general surgery department, had undergone surgery 15 days ago at a hospital in Antalya to have a stent placed in a brain vessel and had been discharged 4 days ago.

It was also known that the artist had received a kidney transplant in Antalya in 2020, and that this transplant was performed using his son's kidney. Tayfur had also received dialysis treatment for a period of time.
