Asena Keskinci, who made headlines with her scenes in the series 'Jasmine' in which she stars, spoke for the first time about the filming process and the ensuing controversy. The famous actress emphasized that she had clearly stated her boundaries before the shoot.
Asena Keskinci, who stars in the series titled Jasmine, has broken her silence regarding the scenes that sparked major controversy in Turkey.
Spotted in Nişantaşı after the series' broadcast in Turkey ended following an investigation by RTÜK, Keskinci expressed her impressions of the project's filming atmosphere as well as her thoughts on what happened afterward.
Stating that the Jasmine series, which has had its broadcast in Turkey terminated, continues to meet audiences in Europe and America, Keskinci said they were quite excited during the filming.
'We filmed it with excitement. I think it was enjoyable. It was one of the rare works done in Turkey. We stumbled a bit. It continues to air in Europe and America,' she said, expressing her thoughts on the process.
Touching on the difficulties she has faced throughout her acting career, Keskinci stated that she did not compromise on professionalism despite social reactions and concerns she experienced due to the role.
Emphasizing that the scenes that caused controversy were filmed in a planned and controlled manner, the actress explained that she shared the issues she had doubts about with the production team before filming.
'Every role has its challenges. As actors, we try to overcome them as best we can. I had some doubts. I shared them with the production because I had difficulty doing some things. As Asena, I do not kiss; those scenes were filmed in a controlled manner. I still stand behind them because we reflected the truth,' she said, describing the behind-the-scenes of the filming.
She also responded to the criticism directed at her on social media after the series was released and to the comments from some of her colleagues suggesting that things had gone too far.
Noting that her performance was always at the forefront, Keskinci stated that the positive feedback she received from the industry was a source of motivation for her. 'I had set my boundaries when starting Jasmine,' the actress said, underlining that she had laid out her limits and conditions from the very beginning.
