Kadir İnanır, who fell ill at his home in Beykoz, Istanbul, on March 24, suffered a stroke due to a blood clot in his brain.
The veteran actor underwent emergency surgery at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital and was intubated as a precautionary measure.
His condition improved, and İnanır was moved out of intensive care to a regular ward on April 1, and was discharged on April 4.
However, he was hospitalized again in August due to a lung infection.
This time, claims that he had suffered paralysis and lost the ability to speak shook the tabloid agenda.
The artist's treatment process continued at Koç University Hospital. Jülide Kural described İnanır's resilience during this period with these words:
"Difficult times were experienced during the months-long treatment process. However, Kadir, who carries the strength, fury, and passion for life of the Black Sea, was determined to overcome all difficulties."
