Heavy rainfall alert for the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia
Heavy rainfall will be effective in the eastern Black Sea region and the northeastern part of Eastern Anatolia. Thunderstorms are also expected in the northern regions of the Mediterranean starting from midday. Thermometers in Diyarbakır will reach 42 degrees. Air temperatures are generally hovering above seasonal norms. A dust transport warning has been issued for Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, and citizens are advised to take precautions.
According to the weather forecast by the General Directorate of Meteorology for Friday, June 13, it is estimated that the inland parts of the Western Mediterranean, the Taurus Mountains area of the Eastern Mediterranean, the coasts of the Central Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Kastamonu, Çorum, Yozgat, and Konya, as well as the western parts of Kahramanmaraş will experience local showers and thunderstorms, while other places will be partly cloudy and clear.
