Reynmen reacts sharply to Imamoglu's detention! 'We can no longer get involved in anything'

As part of the operation launched against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, detention orders were issued for Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and 105 other individuals.

Famous social media influencer Reynmen reacted sharply to the detention orders and the events, drawing attention to the double standards in the understanding of justice. Reynmen expressed his reaction with the words, "When Ümit Özdağ was taken yesterday, you called him a 'fascist.' So, what has changed now?"

Access issues were also experienced on social media applications following the detention orders. As social media discussed the news of the detentions, Reynmen rebelled.

Reynmen used the following expressions in his post:

"YOU DEEMED EVERYONE DESERVING OF WHAT THEY EXPERIENCED"

"You either mocked those who spoke out by hiding behind your anonymous accounts or silenced them. Now, you are hiding behind the same accounts and inciting people to speak up. We spoke yesterday, you didn't understand; what will you change if we speak today? Yesterday Ümit Özdağ was taken and you called him a fascist; today, when Ekrem İmamoğlu is taken, you say 'he deserved it.' We couldn't explain that you need to speak out against injustice. You deemed everyone deserving of what they experienced. If I speak today and get taken in, you will say to me too, 'that wasn't his job, it's a good thing.' Who among those who spoke out and thought of the survival of their country did you ever stand by?" said Reynmen, continuing with the following statements:

"WE CAN NO LONGER GET INVOLVED IN ANYTHING"

"You have distanced us so far from the issues we need to discuss by digging through the dirt that today we don't even know who or what we should defend. Then, we were labeled as apolitical by you again. No one in this country is as apolitical as you think. They cannot be. They just can no longer get involved in anything. Don't look for a culprit; the culprit is us, both on the right and the left. May God grant us a good end. Previously, one person who was awake was enough to wake all those who were sleeping; now, whoever wakes up is hit on the head with a shovel and knocked unconscious. Everything used to be more moral. I am sorry. I am very reactive. Extremely."
