Snow and downpour warning from Meteorology: What will the weather be like today?

The General Directorate of Meteorology has released its weather report for January 26. According to the report, downpours are expected in Antalya, Samsun, and Trabzon, while sleet and snowfall are expected in Sivas, Artvin, Erzincan, Dersim, Elazığ, Bingöl, Muş, Ardahan, Ağrı, Erzurum, Kars, and Malatya. Air temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms.

WIND: Generally expected to blow from northern directions, light to occasionally moderate.

WARNINGS

ICING, FROST, AND AVALANCHE WARNING: Due to the expected avalanche danger on the steep and sloping hillsides of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia, as well as expected icing and frost in the inner and eastern parts of the country, caution and measures should be taken against potential disruptions in transportation.
