The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation into Engin Polat, Alper Kürşat Polat, Hazal Erdoğan, and Dilan Polat, who filmed the video, following reports received regarding video content circulating on social media.

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT NIGHT

The prosecutor's office issued detention warrants for the suspects on charges of 'purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use.' In accordance with this decision, Dilan and Engin Polat were taken into custody during the night.

THEY WERE RELEASED

The couple's lawyer, Sevinç Horoz, stated in a post on her social media account, "No criminal elements were found as a result of the search of the clients' home. Engin Polat and Dilan Polat were released after their statements were completed."

STATEMENT BEFORE DETENTION

Dilan Polat, who made a statement before being taken into custody, said the following:

“Look, I really cannot live anymore. I have no strength left to live, I am finished. I share a video and they share this video everywhere. Saying they have consumed this or that, I am learning right now that a detention warrant has been issued for us. They will probably come. Come and take me, take my hair, take my urine, take everything I have, but just leave me alone. I really have no strength left to live with these slanders. I am also tired of these scandals.”
