Famous Turkish YouTuber Ruhi Çenet, known for his content reaching millions, announced that he was caught in the middle of a Hantavirus outbreak in the Atlantic Ocean that received extensive coverage in the international press. Çenet, who spent 24 days on the MV Hondius ship, which was sailing from Argentina to Cabo Verde with more than 150 passengers from 23 countries, expressed his experience with the words "My mind is still there."

HE RECOUNTED HIS 24 DAYS ON THE SHIP

Çenet, who set out on April 4 saying, "I am going to the hardest place in the world to reach," said that they initially thought the first death during the voyage was due to harsh ocean conditions. However, stating that the process was much more severe than they expected, Çenet said, "When a passenger among us lost their life during our journey, which lasted about a month, I thought it was because of the ocean conditions. However, the situation was much worse than we thought."

"EVERYONE CONTINUED TO BE IN CLOSE CONTACT"

Stating that he left the ship on the 24th day, Çenet reported that after the first passenger who lost their life, their spouse and one other person also passed away, but it was only after the third death that the Hantavirus case, transmitted through rodents, was identified on the ship. Stating that the only doctor on duty on the ship was also battling the same illness, Çenet expressed that the measures taken were insufficient with these words: "Everyone continued to be in close contact. Meals were eaten together, group activities were held. Blood tests should have been requested from the first day."

Making a statement regarding his health status after receiving intense messages from his followers, father-of-two Ruhi Çenet stated that he had the necessary tests done and that he currently has no health problems.
