Istanbul Airport becomes the busiest airport in Europe
According to the traffic statistics of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, Istanbul Airport has become the busiest airport in Europe with 1,328 daily flights.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) shared the air traffic statistics for the 'March 25-31, 2024' period, which were included in EUROCONTROL's European Aviation Overview Report published yesterday, on its official website.
According to air traffic data, Turkey ranked 6th among countries with the highest traffic volume in Europe, with an average of 2,603 daily flights.
