New profession of Turkish beauty queen who remained unemployed for 7 months surprises

Irmak Öztaş, who was named "Best Southeast Anatolia" at the 2022 Best Model of Turkey competition and subsequently represented Turkey at the 31st World Miss University event held in South Korea, has turned a new page after her career on the runways. A graduate of the translation and interpreting department, Öztaş was unable to find a job for approximately seven months after university.

Öztaş, who started working as a sales clerk at a bakery in the Göztepe district of İzmir, announced the change in her new life through a post on social media. Expressing her feelings, Öztaş stated, "After being unemployed for 7 months, I started working at a bakery and found happiness in being a tradesperson."

Leaving her experiences in the modeling industry behind, Öztaş said she encountered more difficulties in that field than she had anticipated. Wanting to try herself in a different sector following her unemployment, the young woman said, "It was a field I had never worked in before; I wanted to challenge myself. Being physically tired has also been good for me. I am happy here right now; there is no situation where I am a victim. I am working and earning with my own labor."

The process of starting work at the bakery came up during a conversation with a friend after she moved to İzmir. Seizing this opportunity, Öztaş stated that she finds peace in the daily work pace.

Stating that she has not completely closed her doors to offers from different fields in the future, Irmak Öztaş also expressed that acting is the sector that excites her the most.
