Labor and Solidarity Day on May 1 falls on a Friday in 2026. Thus, when combined with the weekend, this date provides employees with a three-day break. This opportunity becomes a favorable option for those planning short trips or wanting to get away from the city.
As the month progresses, the proximity of public holidays stands out. By using annual leave rights carefully during the period between Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day on May 19 and Eid al-Adha, it is possible to take a much longer vacation. The process, which begins on Wednesday, May 26, the eve of Eid al-Adha, continues until Saturday, May 30, when the holiday ends.
During this period, with a total of 5.5 days of leave covering May 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, and 26, employees will be able to spend an uninterrupted 16-day vacation starting from Saturday, May 16, through Sunday, May 31.
