Packaging error at grocery store claims a life!

Peggy Bryant, who lived in the city of Duvall in the U.S. state of Washington, purchased a package labeled 'oatmeal raisin cookies' while shopping at a Safeway grocery store. However, these cookies contained peanut butter, to which Peggy had a deadly allergy.

After returning home, Peggy took a bite of the cookie and noticed the taste was different, but her body reacted rapidly. Peggy, who suffered anaphylactic shock, was rushed to the hospital but lost her life within an hour despite all efforts.

Peggy's daughter, Lisa Bryant, stated that her mother was preparing to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary, saying, "My mother never deserved such an end." Doctors confirmed that the definitive cause of death was anaphylaxis.

Following this tragic incident, the Bryant family filed a lawsuit against the Safeway grocery chain. The family argues that the mislabeling of the products constitutes serious negligence and that this negligence directly caused the death.
