According to the report on Halk TV, when the survey is examined, 85 percent of the Turkish public states that the country's most important problem is the economy. 65 percent of the survey participants express that they feel the inflation rate is higher than the official figures.
It was stated that more than half of the participants who identified inflation as their biggest concern participated in the survey.

This situation highlights the concern that inflation is felt to be higher than official statements. 7 out of every 10 people who participated in the survey predicted that unemployment rates would increase.
This demonstrates the prevalence of unemployment anxiety and reflects concerns about economic instability. It was noted that the dollar exchange rate rose from 19.7 liras in May 2023 to 31.9 liras in March 2024.
72 PERCENT SAID MY PURCHASING POWER DECREASED IN THE LAST MONTH
This situation showed that the increase in foreign exchange rates has increased economic uncertainty. It was reported that 72 percent of the survey participants felt that their purchasing power had decreased in the last month.
Furthermore, it was stated that the rise in fuel prices stands out as an issue that directly affects citizens. It is stated that the price of a liter of gasoline rose from 19.8 liras in May 2023 to 43.4 liras in March 2024. The IPSOS research revealed that the economic anxieties of the Turkish public are increasing and that inflation, in particular, is a major source of concern.
