The poem Battal wrote after losing the headman election is as follows:
"There were three candidates and 300 votes in the village of Aşağı Homurlu. I received 29 votes and lost. When I started the election, I had three burdens on me. Being poor, being a shepherd, and writing and sharing poems on social media. I couldn't control my heart and I embarked on an adventure."
