Prison sentences sought for 5 influencers in illegal betting investigation
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has requested prison sentences ranging from 1 to 3 years for 5 social media influencers in connection with crimes related to illegal betting and its promotion. The indictment has been sent to the Criminal Court of First Instance.
While an illegal betting investigation is ongoing regarding famous names including Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç, an indictment has been prepared for 5 more influencers. The illegal betting indictment prepared against the influencers has been sent to the court.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has prepared an indictment against detained social media influencers Ramazan Karkin, Soner Kabakçı, Esma Sözen, Emircan Çelik, and Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçlar within the scope of the investigation conducted for the crime of illegal betting and its promotion.
In the indictment sent to the Criminal Court of First Instance, prison sentences of 1 to 3 years were requested for the suspects.
