Remarkable statement on Ece İrtem's death: Her mother recounts that night for the first time

As the investigation into the death of young actress Ece İrtem continues, the family's lawyer, Uğur Gökkoyun, has relayed statements from İrtem's mother regarding the alcohol allegations.

Stating that some comments have been made regarding camera footage of İrtem, the lawyer reported that the young actress had been suffering from stomach pain and fatigue that day, and that she had taken a short walk on the beach with her mother and drank mineral water.

The statement included the following: "She declared that her gait upon entering the house was due to stomach pain, that she did not want to go to the doctor, and that she wanted to go to bed immediately, saying she had caught a chill in her stomach during her trip to Thailand a few days before the incident, and that she believed resting would do her good."

Lawyer Gökkoyun's statement is as follows:

"Since some comments have been made based on the footage of my client Ece İrtem entering her home with her mother before her passing on 15.6.2026, it has been deemed beneficial to make the following statement to prevent misinformation.

When her mother was asked about this matter: She declared that although it was Ece İrtem's birthday on 15.6.2026, she did not want to go to the celebration her friends wanted to organize because she felt stomach pain and fatigue; that they took a short walk together on the Moda coast and then sat at a venue near the beach and drank two mineral waters; that after a while, upon Ece İrtem's desire to go home due to her stomach complaint, they left and returned to their home, which is 100 meters from the venue; that she has the payment receipt for the two mineral waters consumed; that her gait upon entering the house was due to stomach pain; that she did not want to go to the doctor; and that she wanted to go to bed immediately, saying she had caught a chill in her stomach during her trip to Thailand a few days before the incident, and that she believed resting would do her good."
