She had smuggled her son abroad: Eylem Tok has closed her social media account

In Eyüpsultan, on March 1, 2024, it is alleged that writer Eylem Tok’s 17-year-old son, T.C., was driving a vehicle with the license plate 34 EEG 06 at around 23:50 when he struck three ATV-type vehicles parked on the side of the road due to a breakdown. In the accident, 29-year-old Oğuz Murat Aci lost his life, and other individuals present at the scene were injured.

Following the accident, mother Eylem Tok, who arrived at the scene before the police teams, smuggled her son T.C. away from the scene. As a result of investigations conducted by the teams, it was determined that the mother and son had departed for Egypt at around 03:50 the following day.

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED

Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, an arrest warrant was issued on the same day for the suspect Eylem Tok on charges of 'aiding and abetting a criminal,' and for the suspect T.C. on charges of 'causing the death of one person and the injury of multiple people.'

Furthermore, within the scope of the investigation, a request was made for a red notice to be issued for the suspect mother and her son. The forms prepared for this purpose were processed and sent to the Ministry of Justice.

Making statements after the incident, Tok said, "There is a bright 17-year-old child. I am a mother. This is an accident, after all. There is no smuggling. If it happened today, I would do it again. I don't know the injured, I don't know who they are."

SHE CLOSED HER ACCOUNT
