She responds to the 'Narin' jab

An artwork specially designed by Refik Anadol for the Akbank General Directorate was exhibited at a private reception attended by prominent figures from the worlds of business and art.

Serenay Sarıkaya, who attended the event, answered questions from journalists. Sarıkaya had recently opened her home to a magazine. Regarding the comments made about her home on social media, she said: "Very inconsistent things are being written about the prices of the furniture. Those figures are not correct. I bought them for the same prices anyone else would pay. This is the first time I've done something like this, and the first time I've built a home for myself. I was a bit nervous, too. Because I don't really like such things. I suppose I couldn't refuse our architect because it is a house worth showing. One of the best features of my home is that I have a karaoke corner for my friends," she said with a laugh.

Singer Gülben Ergen criticized Serenay Sarıkaya regarding the murder of Narin Güran, who was reported missing 18 days ago and whose body was later found. Ergen accused Sarıkaya of insensitivity on her social media account. Sarıkaya responded to Ergen's criticisms by saying, "I don't think it was directed at me. I am researching what I need to do on my own behalf."

The discovery of Narin Güran's body by a stream 18 days after she was reported missing on August 21 left all of Turkey in mourning. Singer Gülben Ergen, who has been making posts and calls regarding the Narin murder since the first day, had targeted famous actress Serenay Sarıkaya, who frequently makes headlines with her home, and accused her of being insensitive.

"EVERYONE IS DOING THEIR PART"

Gülben Ergen had made a jab at Serenay Sarıkaya for allowing photos of her home to be published during a period when the murder of children was on the agenda, saying: "Serenay's house is very beautiful, and she is very beautiful too. I admire Serenay's stance, success, and elegance. However, I would have liked to see more sensitivity regarding the children murdered in this country. If Narin had been able to grow up, she might have been one of her fans."

Serenay Sarıkaya responded to journalists regarding Gülben Ergen's jab: "I don't want to say anything about this subject. I think everyone is suffering a lot because of what happened. Everyone is trying to express their pain in various ways. I don't think it was directed at me. I think there is nothing left to say, because it never ends. I believe there are things that need to be done. Everyone is surely doing what they can on their own behalf and will continue to do so. I am also researching what I need to do on my own behalf to be a part of this issue."
