Snow falls in Kocaeli following meteorological warning
Following a warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology, snowfall has been effective in the high altitudes of Karabük and Kocaeli, with teams continuing intensive efforts to prevent disruptions in transportation.
The downpour that began at night in the Karabük city center and its districts gave way to snow in the higher altitudes. Following the snowfall, the Keltepe Ski Center, the D-100 highway, and the high-altitude areas of the districts were covered in white.

In Kocaeli, the rain that was effective yesterday evening at the Kartepe Ski Center and Kuzuyayla Nature Park gave way to snowfall in the morning hours. Teams from the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Kartepe Municipality carried out snow clearing and salting operations in the snow-covered region to prevent any disruptions in transportation.
Traffic teams affiliated with the Provincial Gendarmerie Command also issued warnings to drivers who will use the route.
