Statement from Ferdi Tayfur's hospital regarding the artist's passing: Cause of death shared

In a condolence message released by Medical Park Hospitals for the artist Ferdi Tayfur, who was admitted to intensive care due to liver and kidney failure and passed away despite all efforts by his doctors, it was stated: "Ferdi Tayfur has left a mark in our memories as an artist who will be remembered for generations, not only for his powerful voice and unforgettable songs but also for the innovations and sincerity he brought to Turkish music. We wish God's mercy upon the deceased; we extend our condolences to his grieving family, friends, loved ones, and our people."

The statement from the hospital read: "It is with deep sadness that we inform the fans of the beloved Turkish music artist, Mr. Ferdi Tayfur, that he has left us due to liver and kidney failure.

As is known, our artist was brought to our hospital by military aircraft on December 16; he had been taken into surgery for sinus cleaning due to a previously developed fungal infection.

Following the surgery, our artist's health condition was improving; however, unfortunately, he was admitted to intensive care yesterday afternoon due to rapidly progressing liver and kidney failure.

Despite intensive ongoing treatment and all efforts by his doctors, our artist closed his eyes to life today at 19:38.

Ferdi Tayfur has left a mark in our memories as an artist who will be remembered for generations, not only for his powerful voice and unforgettable songs but also for the innovations and sincerity he brought to Turkish music.
