Surprising statement regarding the argument at Ferdi Tayfur's funeral: 'That is not me'
At Ferdi Tayfur's funeral, his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur, with whom he had been estranged for some time, had an argument with Ferdi Tayfur's niece, Şirin Gözalıcı. Days later, a surprising statement came from Şirin Gözalıcı.
Tayfur passed away at the age of 79 at the hospital where he was receiving treatment due to organ failure.
Tuğçe Tayfur, who went to the Zincirlikuyu Mortuary, had fallen ill there. At the funeral ceremony, things became chaotic when she went to her father's coffin.
At Ferdi Tayfur's funeral, his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur and his niece Şirin Gözalıcı exchanged harsh insults, and Tuğçe Tayfur used profanity.
Şirin Gözalıcı had lashed out at Tuğçe Tayfur, saying, "She shouldn't have come here... He died because of her."
As the fight between the two escalated to the use of profanity, those around them and Tuğçe Tayfur’s mother, Necla Nazır, intervened to try to calm the parties down.
"THAT IS NOT ME" STATEMENT CAME
It had been claimed that the person arguing with Tuğçe Tayfur was Ferdi Tayfur's niece and manager, Şirin Gözalıcı.
Gözalıcı made a statement regarding the matter on her social media account.
Şirin Gözalıcı said, "First of all, I would like to state that I am very sad to be subjected to this statement in this painful situation. I was not the person arguing at the funeral; I was on the road. The person who first provoked the other side from under a mask, showered them with profanities, and then, unable to contain herself, gave herself away with her own profanities is the person herself."
