The house, built on a rocky peak in the Kemaliye district of Erzincan and which has become one of the district's iconic structures over the years, has been put up for sale for 30 million Turkish Lira. The structure, built by retired teachers Bekir and Nermin Taştan, attracts the attention of visitors with both its architecture and its location.
Wanting to establish a quieter life after their duties in Istanbul, the Taştan couple settled in Kemaliye years ago and began building a house on a rocky area overlooking the district center.

During the construction process, materials such as sand, cement, and stone were first transported to the foot of the cliff by human and animal power. The house, which was completed in about two years using materials brought to the summit via a primitive cable car system established later, is reached by using a 96-step staircase carved into the rock.
IT BECAME A FREQUENT DESTINATION FOR TOURISTS
Standing out with its position overlooking the valley and the district road, the house has become one of the most viewed and photographed structures in Kemaliye over time. The structure, which is visited by domestic and foreign tourists, is considered one of the symbols of the district.
IT ALSO HOSTED THE MOVIE "DÜĞÜN DERNEK 2"
Some scenes of the movie "Düğün Dernek 2," directed by Selçuk Aydemir and starring Ahmet Kural, Murat Cemcir, Rasim Öztekin, and Şinasi Yurtsever, were also filmed in this house. The structure has also been among the locations that occasionally attract interest for film and television projects.

AWAITING A BUYER FOR 30 MILLION LIRA
The Taştan couple, who spend the summer period of the year in Kemaliye and the winter months in Istanbul, put the house up for sale at the end of June. A sale price of 30 million Turkish Lira has been set for the house, which is shown as one of the iconic structures of the district.
