The city with the highest stress level has been identified
According to a recent study, stress levels remain high in Turkey's major cities. Istanbul tops the list.
A study covering all of Turkey has evaluated the effects of urban lifestyles on individual stress levels. Key criteria highlighted in the research include city overcrowding, traffic congestion, rising living costs, and general living conditions.
The stress rate faced by those living in major cities revealed a striking difference across the country. Istanbul, which has the highest population and density, took the top spot due to various stress factors.
Traffic challenges in the city, combined with population density, emerged as the primary element increasing stress levels in the daily lives of Istanbul residents. Furthermore, rising living costs are also causing city dwellers to face a difficult agenda.
Following the ranking, Turkey's capital, Ankara, was recorded as the second most stressful city, while the popular Aegean city of İzmir occupies the third spot. According to the study's results, Bursa, Antalya, Adana, and Gaziantep were also among the cities where stress levels remain high.
